As an architect, Julia has a keen interest in how buildings, rooms, and spaces serve as the backdrop for our daily lives. She believes there is a strong connection between memorable moments and the places where they happen. With this in mind, she strives to design spaces that support and enhance the experiences within them.
Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Julia was drawn to New England after regularly visiting her grandparents and her father’s childhood home in Rhode Island. She attended Roger Williams University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture. Her Master’s thesis focused on a modern reinterpretation of the Roman Forum, exploring the relationships between public space, governing bodies, and social services. After graduation, she worked primarily on commercial architecture, specializing in retail and office spaces. At KITE, Julia has taken on projects that blend her past experience with her passion for socially conscious and community-focused design.
Outside of architecture, Julia spends most of her time with her corgi, Trouser. They attend weekly trivia nights at the local brewery and fill after-work hours with fetch at the park. Julia is also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and keeps up with her teams
whenever she can.
