General responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation design documents for all stages of an architectural project including drawings, presentations, specifications, and supporting materials
  • Research of materials, best practices, and other resources to inform building designs
  • Construction administration tasks including field visits
  • Collaboration with other staff, clients, and consultants in order to establish and meet goals, schedules and budgets

Qualifications

  • NAAB-Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch)
  • 2+ years of experience in an architecture firm – mid-career candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong creative, graphic, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Proficient in learning and using graphic software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup

KITE Architects is currently seeking applicants for the position of Part-time Office Administrator and Bookkeeper.

KITE Architects is a Rhode Island-based architecture firm focused on human-centric design of the built environment. Our work spans a variety of types from institutional and commercial to custom residential, and reflects our values of elegant and thoughtful design, positive community impact, and sustainability. We pride ourselves on having high standards of quality in our work and respect for each other’s contributions in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will have prior administrative and bookkeeping work experience, proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel, and strong communication and math skills. General administrative support will require proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong oral and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Experience with professional service firms is a plus.

Bookkeeping duties will include preparation of invoices, tracking of expenses and income, reconciliation of accounts, participation in regular meetings and communications with staff, and client communication regarding payments.

Administrative responsibilities include editing of legal documents, communication with vendors, scheduling meetings, and other tasks as-needed.

The position is expected to be 20 hours per week on-site at our location in Providence. Schedule is flexible. Compensation is $24-28/hour dependent on experience.
