Sasha Azbel

Architectural Designer

As a talented designer at KITE, Sasha is passionate about the ability of design to improve the lives of individuals and communities. She enjoys interacting with clients and inhabitants of our projects and exploring resourceful ways that architecture can contribute to their daily experience.

Originally from Kazakhstan, Sasha made Providence her home after completing the Master of Architecture program at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014. Prior to embarking on a career in architecture, Sasha was heavily engaged in social and cultural design and research programs around the world that aimed to empower displaced and marginalized people.

In addition to an interest in anthropology and the built environment, Sasha experiments with textile art, enjoys horticulture, and advocates for environmental issues in Providence. In her free time, she can be found at the Southside Community Land Trust planting and helping maintain their urban farm.
