KITE and Cuba: A Deeply Personal Exploration of Architecture in Cuba
Cuba’s architecture is among the most diverse in the world. Reflective of both the country’s political and social history, its buildings capture the essence of Cuban life from colonial to modern times. Join KITE Architect’s Albert Garcia, along with interior designer Libby Slader and Providence Revolving Fund’s Clark Schoettle as they discuss their recent trips and individual perspectives into Cuba’s important design culture. Albert will share insights into the unique challenges of being a creative professional in a country where the profession of architecture was essentially banned for a generation.
Join KITE on September 14th at 6pm at the Providence Marine Corps of Artillery for this highly anticipated kick-off event in conjunction with Design Week RI 2016. Reception to follow presentations.
Thank you to all who came out and spent the night with us!
